Antrectomy (distal gastrectomy, partial or subtotal gastrectomy) is the  surgical removal, or resection of the distal third  part of the stomach known as the antrum, which is lies between the body of the stomach and the pyloric canal (first part of the small intestine). routinely performed surgical removal of the proximal stomach(pylorus) done by these processes

  1. Billroth I procedure- is a gastroduodenostomy
  2. Billroth II procedure- is a gastrojejunostomy
  3. Roux-en-Y gastrojejunostomy (modification Billroth II) – is a gastrojejunostomy
