Diaphragmatic hernia

Diaphragmatic hernia is a defect (opening) in diaphragm in which there is an abnormal opening in the diaphragm that allows the abdominal organs move upward into your chest through the defect.

The following more common types of diaphragmatic hernia are:

  1. Congenital defects
  2. Acquired defects
